Clarifying Concepts: disciple of Christ

If you are a believer, then wherever the Keys website uses the term disciple of Christ, it is referring to you. On the Keys website, disciple of Christ does not refer to a particular faith group, church body or denomination. This is based on the fact that believers, disciples of Christ, were first called Christians at Antioch (Acts 11:26); all believers are disciples of Christ. This does not necessarily mean that all disciples of Christ are submitting themselves to being discipled by the Holy Spirit, Whom Christ secured for His disciples. It is possible for disciples of Christ to quench the very Spirit Christ ensured would dwell permanently within us (1 Thessalonians 5:19).
