Welcome! This website focuses specifically on deeper, personally transforming discipleship and connection with God. We provide material, multiple tools and resources oriented on improving one's ability to mesh Scriptural knowledge and spiritual concepts with daily, real-life application.
 

Spiritual growth and finding answers doesn't always happen simply because we want to get closer to God. Spiritual growth involves change within us, not just in what we know about God, but in how we connect with Him, interact with Him, and receive His counsel during trials as part of our problem-solving processes. A significant area in which we typically can improve is in the listening portion of our part of the two-way interaction with Him.
 

Experiencing two-way interaction with God involves developing spiritual relationship skill sets demonstrated in the Scriptures, which include both speaking to Him (in prayer) and hearing Him with our hearts (our spiritual ears so to speak). Between speaking to God and hearing Him, hearing His guidance and counsel is usually the more difficult of the two. To learn to hear Him well and more consistently, it helps to know a bit more about to use, interact with and exercise our responsibilities consistently toward the areas of the spiritual life represented by each of the Keys to understanding life (shown under the portrait image above). Each of them relates to the spiritual listening process which all believers have experienced during at least some of our real-life trials. The goal, of course, is to discover how to hear the Lord's counsel more consistently with our hearts during trials. Improving in this area is the essence of discipleship beyond the elementary teachings of Christ, and is the focus of the Keys website and spiritual warfare tools and materials.

In a nutshell, KeysToUnderstandingLife.com discusses and offers "new-self help" training materials in how to improve your spiritual listening, how to discover spiritual answers by listening to the voice of God with your heart, and how to interact with God skillfully using the "Keys" He gave you!
